This was first Skating competition for Kevin and Adele. Earlier they had no experience skating on banked rinks as they practise on. We expected that the competition will happen on banked rinks and we made them practise on banked rinks at Nehru Stadium. We took them after peak hours and had the rink to ourself. Initially they were scared and even fell on the rink but later they got hold of it.

However, the competition at Gerugambakkam rink for beginners hapenned at inner rink which is flat. It was good morale boost for Kevin and Adele as they got Gold in their events.

Another beginner level skating competition. This competition happened early morning. We identified here that Kevin is not a morning person. He didn't show any interest or gave his full effort during the race.

This is the first competition in their professional quad rollerskates. This competition was held on pondicherry. Again its a morning competition and we started from home by 4 AM for a 3 hour journey.

Kevin showed very less interest in this competition and underperformed. Kevin wanted to leave competition so he could enjoy the swimming pool at the hotel. Adele was performing her best as usual.

This competition was organized in Velammal Knowledge Park, Ponneri.

This is the first competition we returned empty handed as both Kevin and Adele didnt win any medals. However we didnt have much expectations as we have seen the worst of Kevin and Adele was too young to compete.

Kevin and Adele performed well as per their capacity.

We used to take Kevin and Adele to practice in Nehru stadium rink after the busy hours. Kevin fell down previous day while practicing in Nehru Stadium and had 2 sutures on his forehead. We almost thought, he would not participate but to our surprise he really wanted to participate.First time Kevin showed some interest to participate in a competition.

Kevin won bronze and Adele won 2 Gold medals

This was Kevin's First RSFI Competition. We were eager to participate in a RSFI event hence took this opportunity. Adele was not eligible to participate as the minimum age should be 5 as on Dec'24.

The timings of the tournament were well organized except for the opening ceremony delay due to CM arrival delay.

Kevin did perform best to his ability except for the final race which was conducted early morning 6 AM.

This was Kevin's and Adele's 1st competition after changing to Fancy Inline skates.

The Rink was very small and the competition was baseless with 1 lap and 2 lap races which could be hardly 15m and 30m. Kevin and Adele both are not good starters.

Kevin fell down in Heats of 2 lap race and hence didnt qualify for the finals. For Adele, it was a reality check, her peers were competitive in fancy Inline than in Quad. She was slow compared to her peers.

This competition was organized in Nehru Stadium. Adele was not eligible for this race and she wasn't feeling well. Kevin had to compete with U-8 peers.

I was totally disappointed with the way the tournament was organized. There were less volunteers and over dragging of each events . Kevin's reporting time was 7:00 AM but his race started at 4:30PM only.

Kevin was already exhausted, he didn't perform his best.

This was TNSSA's State Selection Event. Top five skaters of each age category in each district will be selected to compete in State Level Tournament.

Kevin secured a Silver in 400m and Bronze in 1000m. In 400m after falling down in start and finishing third was thrilling to watch.

Adele qualified for finals but could finish only 4th or 5th in both 200m and 400m

This rink was tricky with sharp corners almost like hair pin bend

Both Kevin's and Adele's races were thrilling and both qualified for finals after heats but was not able to secure top 3 positions.

3 lap Race was so chaotic , Adele Secured Silver as her peers most of them fell down in corners. Kevin finished second following his club mate.

This is Kevin's first Professional Inline competition. He just transitioned from Fancy to Professional Inline 2 weeks back. Adele was enrolled for Fancy Inline Race Only.

Kevin reached the rink early and practiced few laps but he didnt get his momentum. Kevin is purely a momentum skater who does not have good start technique or swifty legs. A lack of coordination between his feet and hands will surely cost his momentum. His performance was below average and secured 3rd place in 200m and finished 5th in 400m

Adele's Fancy inline race got postponed due to rain, however we couldn't attend the postponed race as well as the day overlapped with her TNSSA State Event

We switched Kevin back to Fancy Inline since the TNSSA state meet is nearer and he has to compete in Fancy Inline

It was raining continuously the previous day and we had doubts that the event would be conducted. However it was conducted and we reached just 5 mins before the start time Kevin did not practice a single lap. He was totally out of touch, was slow, didnt attempt any crossovers and later turned out to be one of his worst races in the recent days

Adele didnt perform her best either, she had to compete with peers ~ 2 years elder to her but she managed to finish 3rd in both her races.

Before the race, even Kevin wasn't looking positive and this race was conducted as mass start and no heats were there. Kevin started 8th position after start and overtook his district competitors in the first lap itself and looked commanding for the entire race. He won Gold and gathered the much needed confidence.
